Education
Advocate for tuition-free public colleges and the cancellation of student debt
Education should be a pathway to opportunity, not a lifetime of debt. I support making public colleges tuition-free and canceling existing student loan debt to empower our youth.
For the first time in modern-history, we are seeing executive orders from the Trump Administration that is doing so much damage, even school boards cannot un-do.
Economic Justice
Fight for a living wage, workers' rights, and equitable economic policies.
Economic inequality undermines our democracy. I will work to raise the minimum wage, protect the right to unionize, and ensure that our economy works for everyone, not just the wealthy few.
As a younger person, I am terrified I will lose my job to AI every day. We have seen the most dramatic mass-layoffs in modern history, without any government protections in place.
Immigration
Create a humane immigration system with a clear path to citizenship.
America thrives on its diversity. I advocate for comprehensive immigration reform that provides a pathway to citizenship, protects DACA recipients, and treats all individuals with dignity.
We also see the way H1B Visa Holders (people who have a work visa), are being impacted without options during these mass layoffs, breaking families apart.
Healthcare
Advocate for a universal, single-payer healthcare system to ensure comprehensive care for all.
Healthcare is a human right. I support Medicare for All to guarantee that every American has access to quality, affordable healthcare, regardless of income or employment status.
Foreign Policy
Humanitarian aid over Military aid: with strict oversight to ensure that taxpayer dollars do not fund human rights violations.
Under the Leahy Law, the United States is prohibited from providing military assistance to foreign security forces that have committed gross violations of human rights. Yet billions in military aid continue to flow, despite credible reports of violations in Gaza, contributing to a devastating humanitarian crisis.
I advocate for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, a stance I’ve maintained with 370+ other elected officials around the country.
This is not just about one conflict. It’s about a broader commitment to upholding international law and protecting human dignity—whether for Palestinians, Uyghurs, Rohingya, Kashmiris, Congolese, or other oppressed communities around the world.
I also support proactively intensifying just, sustained, multilateral diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine—because lasting peace comes through principled diplomacy, not perpetual conflict.
At the same time, we must uphold human rights at home. While military spending continues to grow, American families are struggling to afford the basics:

Climate Change
Support the Green New Deal to transition to renewable energy and create green jobs.
Our planet is at a tipping point. I champion the Green New Deal to combat climate change, promote environmental justice, and build a sustainable future for generations to come.
Artificial Intelligence is further heating up our planet, and our fresh drinking water is being wasted to cool these data centers.
Basic Human Rights
Everyone - regardless of who they are or where they come from - deserves to be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect. Basic rights and freedoms aren’t reserved for some; they belong to all people living here.
We have a responsibility to stand up to hate and division in all forms. That means confronting racism, pushing back against anti-immigrant sentiment, and refusing to tolerate discrimination or hateful speech targeting LGBTQ+ communities. It also means rejecting bigotry in all its forms - whether rooted in antisemitism, Islamophobia, misogyny, or homophobia. No one should feel unsafe or unwelcome in the place they call home.
Our district is one of the most diverse in Illinois - across race, ethnicity, and religion. And while we may come from different backgrounds, most of us want the same things: good schools, quality healthcare, safe neighborhoods, decent jobs, a clean environment, and a better future for our families.
We may not all share the same views or experiences, but we all have a stake in building stronger, more connected communities.
Criminal Justice Reform
Implement comprehensive reforms to address systemic injustices and end mass incarceration.
Justice should be equitable and fair. I will push for reforms that end mass incarceration, eliminate private prisons, and address the root causes of crime through community investment.
Reproductive Rights
Protect and expand access to reproductive healthcare, including abortion services.
Reproductive rights are fundamental. I will fight to ensure that every individual has the freedom to make decisions about their own body, without government interference.
Gun Violence Prevention
Enact common-sense gun laws to protect communities.
Gun violence is a public health crisis. I support universal background checks, banning assault weapons, and investing in community programs to create safer neighborhoods.
Democracy & Voting Rights
Strengthen democratic institutions and protect voting rights for all citizens.
Our democracy must be accessible and fair. I will work to expand voting rights, eliminate gerrymandering, and reduce the influence of money in politics.
